Terrabyte Music needed a seamless user login experience integrated with their third-party music distribution partner, SonoSuite. The goal was to enable logged-in Wix members with active subscriptions to access the SonoSuite platform without needing separate login credentials, ensuring a unified user journey for artists distributing their music globally.


Scope of Work
Deliverables:
Custom login architecture using Wix’s native Member System.
Dual login button system:
Wix Login (for standard account access)
SonoSuite Login (visible only to verified, subscribed members)
Real-time session-based redirection to SonoSuite for active users.
Purchase restriction enforcement for non-logged-in users.


Features & Functional Breakdown

Authentication & Member Management
Integrated Wix Members login.
Custom logic to detect subscription status (via Wix Pricing Plans).
Conditional logic:
Show “Log in to SonoSuite” only if the member is logged in and has an active pricing plan.
Otherwise, display “Log in” for Wix only.

SonoSuite Integration
Clicking the SonoSuite login button:
Triggers a token generation module.
Passes the Wix member’s email to SonoSuite for SSO (Single Sign-On).
Automatically redirects the user to the SonoSuite dashboard, already authenticated.

Access Control & Purchase Logic
Non-members cannot make purchases or access SonoSuite.
All music distribution services require login + active pricing plan.
Restriction ensures security, accurate email mapping, and prevents misuse of SonoSuite credentials.

Technical Implementation
The project was implemented using a combination of front-end and back-end tools in the Wix ecosystem:
Wix Members login was activated using native Wix elements, providing users a standard and secure way to authenticate.
Conditional logic was developed using custom Velo (formerly Corvid) code. This logic detects both the login status and the active subscription status of each user to dynamically render the correct login button.
Token generation and session handling were executed through a secure backend module. When the user clicks the SonoSuite login button, the module calls SonoSuite's API and securely passes the user's email.
Plan verification was handled using Wix’s Pricing Plans API. This ensured that only those with valid, paid plans were eligible for the SonoSuite SSO access.
Redirects were dynamically handled after session creation to provide seamless transitions between platforms.

Outcome & Results
The integration was successfully implemented and thoroughly tested. Key improvements:
Improved UX: Members enjoy a frictionless, single-login experience across platforms.
Security: Only eligible members with paid plans can access external services.
Increased Retention: Artists are incentivized to maintain their membership plans to retain access to tools.
Operational Efficiency: Admins no longer need to manually manage SonoSuite credentials or cross-verification.
The system functions as intended across desktop and mobile experiences, contributing to a polished, professional-grade SaaS offering.
