Tantalus Rings

Tantalus Rings is a premium jewellery brand specialising in wedding rings crafted from alternative and traditional metals, including tantalum, titanium, carbon fibre, gold, platinum, and palladium. With showrooms in London and Colchester, the brand serves customers both in-person and online, offering bespoke craftsmanship, eco-conscious materials, and a highly personalised approach.


Project Objectives

The client approached Davydov Consulting with the need to:
Add new functional pages to their existing Wix website
Resolve cross-device display inconsistencies
Improve user interface and navigation
Prepare the site for future SEO and Google Shopping integration


Scope of Work

1. Stainless Steel Product Page Creation
A new product page titled “Stainless Steel” was created and linked internally.
Temporary placeholder products were copied from the Titanium Rings collection and hidden from the live store.
The page was left unpublished on the front-end, ready for the client to upload and activate new stainless steel items independently.

2. Integration of “About” Page
The client’s existing “About Anna” page was integrated into the main navigation between “Diamond Set Rings” and “Shop All”.
A biography and photo of Antony, co-owner, were added to the page, providing a more complete story of the brand’s leadership.
Visual materials (About Anna 1.jpg & 2.jpg) were seamlessly incorporated into the page layout.

3. Cookie Notification Setup
A cookie consent banner was enabled using Wix’s built-in privacy tools.
The banner was configured to appear across the entire site to ensure GDPR compliance.
A direct link to the Privacy Policy was included in the site’s footer.

4. URL Correction for Tantalum Rings
A routing issue was discovered where the “Tantalum Rings” page was incorrectly resolving to /store-policy-1.
The URL was corrected to a clean, SEO-friendly structure: /tantalumrings.

5. Responsive Design Fixes
A full audit of the website was conducted across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.
Identified issues with spacing, navigation, image scaling, and font sizes were resolved.
The site now presents a polished and consistent experience across all viewports.


Additional Enhancements

Micro-Level Bug Fixes
Hidden duplicate elements and unnecessary layers in the Wix editor were cleaned up.
Button hover effects and font inconsistencies were adjusted for a smoother user interface.

Product Filter Optimisation
The product filter interface was reworked to improve clarity and usability for customers browsing by material or design.
Results now display accurately and intuitively with multiple filter selections.

On-Site Search Integration
A Wix Search bar was added to the homepage and the “Shop All” section, allowing users to locate products and information more efficiently.

Google Shopping & SEO Readiness
We fully set up and configured Google Merchant Center, resolving all previous integration issues related to the embed code. Our team completed the entire Shopping setup, including feed creation, SEO metadata implementation, and product schema markup. The website is now fully optimized and ready for active use with Google Shopping.


This project with Tantalus Rings demonstrates how targeted website improvements — without adding excessive functionality — can significantly elevate user experience, prepare a site for growth, and align it with business goals.
