Davydov Consulting engaged in a comprehensive redesign and enhancement project for their client, Strokesaver, utilizing the Wix platform. The scope of the project covered design adjustments, responsiveness and technical enhancements, content and layout optimization, functionality improvements, and additional customizations to elevate the user experience and ensure consistency across devices. The project aimed to reflect Strokesaver’s brand identity while optimizing the website for usability across all device types.
1 Design Adjustments
Dynamic Menu Implementation
A dynamic menu was created to improve navigation. This menu hides when the user scrolls down and reappears when the user scrolls up, ensuring that the navigation is always accessible without occupying unnecessary screen space.
Mobile View Enhancements
The mobile view was optimized by ensuring the hamburger menu appears only in mobile viewport settings. This adjustment streamlined the mobile user experience by providing intuitive navigation options.
Footer Redesign for Mobile Devices
The footer was redesigned for mobile devices, enhancing the layout and spacing to ensure that all elements are easily accessible and readable on smaller screens.
2 Responsiveness and Technical Enhancements
Fluid Resizing Between Breakpoints
Addressed issues with non-fluid transitions in Wix Studio, ensuring that the website fluidly resizes between breakpoints. This enhancement provided a seamless viewing experience regardless of the device used.
Layering and Padding Optimization
Corrected layering issues with the top section and header. Padding was optimized to ensure that all elements were properly aligned and visually appealing across different screen sizes.
3 Content and Layout Optimization
Image Adjustments for Different Views
Added and adjusted images specifically tailored for desktop, tablet, and mobile views. This ensured that visuals were optimized and appropriately scaled for each device type.
Text Alignment and Button Placement
Modified text alignment and button placements across all sections to ensure a consistent, user-friendly interface. This provided a cohesive look and feel throughout the website.
Content Box Design
Implemented a white background with a blurry outline for content boxes, replacing the previous gray background. This design change enhanced the visual appeal and readability of the content.
4 Functionality Improvements
Dynamic Effects Removal
Removed unwanted dynamic effects and animations as requested by the client. This simplification improved the overall user experience by reducing distractions.
Form Functionality and Overlay Enhancements
Adjusted and enhanced form functionalities. Overlay options for email and LinkedIn connections were optimized to ensure privacy by not displaying email addresses directly.
5 Additional Customizations
Golf Course Guides Gallery
Developed a gallery for Golf Course Guides, ensuring alignment and layout consistency across all devices. This gallery provided users with an engaging way to explore Strokesaver’s offerings.
Database Integration
Enabled seamless integration of a database to allow for repeatable content updates without the need for manual CMS functions. This enhancement facilitated easier content management and updates.
