ABOUT PROJECT

Before the redesign, MedSync had the typical symptoms of a fast-growing founder-led platform that had expanded organically inside Wix. Valuable content existed, including surgical skills videos, training offers, membership access, community touchpoints and products, but the overall experience did not present these elements in a unified and immediately understandable way. Visitors coming from short-form social media content risked landing on a site that did not quickly state the proposition, the audience, or the next best step. This is especially problematic when attention spans are short and much of the incoming traffic is mobile-first.
The original problem was not simply that the site looked dated. The greater issue was that the commercial model was being obscured by structure. Free educational videos, paid learning resources, community benefits, live courses and shop items needed clearer separation so users could distinguish between entry-level engagement and premium offers. Without that clarity, potential customers could become uncertain about what was free, what required membership, what could be booked, and what could be purchased outright. That uncertainty often results in lower conversion and weaker trust, even when the underlying offer is strong.
There was also an operational issue within the commerce flow. MedSync sells physical products internationally, which means shipping cost accuracy directly affects margin. Flat-rate or manually managed shipping would have exposed the business to undercharging on heavier or more distant orders. The requirement was therefore not only to modernise the front-end experience but also to connect DHL business-account pricing into the Wix checkout flow through custom code so that shipping could be calculated dynamically based on basket contents and destination.

Core Objectives
Brand clarity – State in seconds that MedSync is a surgeon-led medical education platform offering videos, courses, tools, and community
User flow – Restructure navigation so that visitors can move logically between free content, paid memberships, live events, and the shop
Mobile usability – Improve navigation, spacing, hierarchy, and conversion paths for mobile-heavy traffic coming from social platforms
Monetisation – Strengthen the visibility and commercial logic of pricing plans, bookings, physical products, and future upsell opportunities
Operations – Implement live DHL shipping calculations inside Wix so international checkout reflects real courier cost
Solution Overview

1. Information Architecture & Navigation
Davydov Consulting reorganised the site around a cleaner top-level structure so that the platform could be understood by function rather than by scattered page history. Core areas such as Home, Skills Videos, Memberships, Community, Training & Courses, Events, Shop and About/Contact were given clearer roles in the experience. This makes the site easier to scan and reduces the chance that users bounce because the offer feels mixed together.
A particular emphasis was placed on mobile navigation because MedSync’s audience is heavily influenced by social traffic. The redesigned menu logic supports shorter paths to the most commercially important areas and reduces friction for thumb-driven browsing. This is crucial in educational commerce journeys where users often arrive with high intent but limited patience.

2. Visual Redesign & Brand Positioning
The redesign moved MedSync away from a generic DIY appearance and into a cleaner, more credible visual system. The hero section now communicates practical surgical skills training, supported by concise introductory copy and direct calls to action for memberships and training. Typography, spacing and page rhythm were treated as conversion tools rather than decoration, helping content feel more trustworthy and easier to absorb.
The interface tone also aligns more appropriately with the brand’s medical education purpose. Instead of loud or inconsistent visual treatments, the site now uses restrained medical imagery, calmer composition, and clearer content blocks. This preserves the energy of MedSync’s social content while making the website itself feel more professional and sponsor-ready.

3. Video, Membership & Community UX
A major improvement in the project was the clearer distinction between free learning content and subscription-led value. The site now surfaces bite-sized tutorials and skills categories in a way that supports discovery, while also giving stronger visibility to the membership proposition. Users can more easily understand that there is a free educational entry point and a premium layer that unlocks a wider procedural library, community access, new content and event-related benefits.
This structure supports a stronger funnel. Free content works as a trust-builder and lead magnet, while membership pages explain recurring value in a more commercially coherent way. Community areas are also easier to find, which matters because peer engagement and belonging are part of the retention model rather than just an optional extra.

4. Events, Courses & Shop
The site now presents events more prominently through a dedicated section that highlights upcoming training opportunities, dates, format and booking calls to action. This addresses one of the biggest missed opportunities in the original brief, where live events were not sufficiently surfaced on the homepage journey. By placing event visibility closer to the top-level experience, the platform can convert training interest into bookings more effectively.
The shop experience has also been separated more clearly from educational offers so that products do not compete with courses or memberships in a confusing way. Curated product cards, clearer product-page structure and improved mobile checkout flow all contribute to a more focused commerce experience. This is especially important for MedSync because the shop range is selective, meaning each product page needs to work harder to explain benefits, audience fit and cross-sell relevance.

5. Social Proof, Tracking & Platform Management
To make the site feel more active and credible, the project introduced stronger social proof and content freshness mechanisms. Testimonials, community highlights and integrated social content help reinforce that MedSync is a live, growing platform rather than a static brochure site. This matters for first-time visitors who may know the brand from Reels but still need reassurance before purchasing, joining or booking.
On the operational side, the solution remained inside Wix so the platform could be managed by the client after handover without unnecessary complexity. Analytics improvements using Wix Analytics and GA4 support better visibility into page visits, commerce actions and audience behaviour. Combined with training and handover guidance, this ensured the finished website was not only well designed but also maintainable in practice.

Custom DHL Live Shipping Integration
Alongside the redesign, Davydov Consulting implemented a direct DHL live-rate integration for Wix Stores using custom Velo development. This was a strategically important part of the project because it protected margin on international orders while preserving a smooth customer experience. Rather than relying on intermediary apps with recurring fees, the integration connected MedSync’s DHL business account directly into the checkout process.
For each qualifying order, the checkout flow can read basket information such as product weight and destination, request a live rate from DHL, and present the resulting shipping cost within the order journey. The implementation also included the practical configuration work required to make the feature sustainable, including product-data structure, guardrails for exceptions and fallback logic where needed. In business terms, this gives MedSync a more robust fulfilment model and reduces the risk that international growth is penalised by inaccurate courier pricing.
