ABOUT PROJECT

Photography websites need to do more than look attractive. They must communicate style, trust, service range, and pricing confidence, while also giving visitors an easy way to take the next step. For a personal brand like Igor Fain, the website functions as both portfolio and sales asset.
This made the redesign especially important. The website had to balance visual impact with practical conversion elements such as pricing clarity, enquiry access, social proof, and payment-readiness. The solution needed to feel high-end without becoming difficult to navigate.

Scope of Work
Full website redesign on Wix with improved information architecture and stronger visual hierarchy.
Stripe integration to support a more streamlined payment workflow.
Instagram feed integration to keep the site socially active and reinforce authenticity.
Content presentation improvements across portfolio, pricing, and contact sections.
Result analysis focused on user experience, trust signals, and conversion-readiness.
Observed Live-Site Structure
Based on review of the live website, the redesign resulted in a cleaner and more purposeful structure. The main navigation separates the business into Photo, Video, Rates, Wedding, About, and Contact sections. This helps users quickly identify relevant content rather than scrolling through an unstructured single-page portfolio.
The homepage leads with a brand-forward hero message, followed by curated photography blocks, dedicated videography sections, an Instagram feed area, and a contact form. The rates page organizes offerings into photography, photo-plus-video, and video categories, helping users understand packages, timings, and pricing without friction.
This structure aligns well with how clients typically browse creative-service websites: first they assess visual quality, then compare services and packages, and finally decide whether to enquire or book.

Design Goals
Elevate the brand with a more editorial and premium look.
Reduce confusion by separating core services into clearly labeled sections.
Improve trust through transparent pricing and a more polished presentation.
Increase engagement using social proof and regularly refreshed Instagram content.
Support monetization with Stripe-backed payment capability.
Key Problems Solved
Before this type of redesign, creative websites often face three common issues: scattered content, weak conversion paths, and limited proof of ongoing activity. Davydov Consulting addressed all three areas.
Scattered content was solved by reorganizing the site into focused sections and service pages.
Weak conversion paths were improved through better rates presentation, stronger calls to enquire, and payment infrastructure via Stripe.
Limited proof of current activity was addressed through Instagram feed integration, keeping the website connected to real-time social content.

Solution Breakdown

1. Wix Redesign
The redesign modernized the portfolio presentation and made the site easier to scan. Large visual blocks, cleaner navigation, and clearer segmentation between photography, videography, rates, weddings, and contact help the user move through the site with less effort. This is especially important for premium creative services where first impressions strongly affect conversion potential.
The rates section is a particularly strong outcome of the redesign. Visitors can review package names, duration, included deliverables, turnaround times, extras, and pricing in GBP. Transparent packaging reduces back-and-forth and qualifies leads earlier.

2. Stripe Integration
Stripe integration was included in the project scope to strengthen the commercial side of the website. For a service business, payment functionality reduces friction between interest and commitment. Even when the payment flow is not the most visually dominant element on the public-facing pages, having Stripe connected adds operational value by making deposits, prepayments, or service-related transactions easier to manage.
From a portfolio perspective, this matters because the project was not only about aesthetics. It also introduced business functionality that supports revenue operations and makes the website more than a simple showcase.

3. Instagram Feed Integration
The live homepage includes an Instagram section showing recent social content. This is an effective enhancement for a photographer because it extends the portfolio with continuously updated material and reinforces the impression of an active, in-demand creator.
Instagram integration also improves credibility. Visitors can see current work, behind-the-scenes activity, collaborations, and recognizable subjects without leaving the brand ecosystem. It bridges static website content with live social proof.

Why the Scope Worked Well Together
These three workstreams complemented each other. The redesign improved usability and perception. Stripe integration added practical business value. Instagram feed integration added freshness and trust. Together, they transformed the website into a more complete digital asset: premium in appearance, structured in content, and stronger in conversion support.
This combination is especially suitable for a creative professional because it reflects the full client journey: discover the portfolio, review services and pricing, build confidence through social proof, and move toward enquiry or payment.

Result Analysis

Brand Presentation
The site now communicates a stronger luxury/editorial identity. Large-format imagery, clean sectioning, and restrained copy allow the photography to remain the core selling tool. The presentation feels more intentional and better aligned with a premium creative brand.

User Experience
The navigation is easier to understand, and the content hierarchy is clearer. Instead of forcing visitors to infer what services are offered, the site gives them direct paths to photography, video, rates, wedding work, and contact. This lowers cognitive load and helps visitors find relevant information faster.

Trust and Social Proof
Transparent pricing and visible recent Instagram posts both strengthen trust. Pricing clarity signals confidence and reduces uncertainty. The social feed reinforces that the brand is active, current, and consistently producing new content.

Commercial Readiness
Stripe integration adds a monetization layer that supports smoother business operations. Combined with the rates page and enquiry pathways, it positions the website as a usable lead-conversion tool rather than a passive gallery.

Content Freshness
The Instagram feed improves content freshness without requiring constant manual updates across the whole site. This is a valuable efficiency gain for a service business that relies on regular portfolio visibility.

Strategic Value for the Client
More polished brand perception for premium fashion and art photography services.
Clearer communication of offers and pricing.
Better balance between portfolio storytelling and lead generation.
Stronger trust signals through live social integration.
Improved readiness for commercial transactions through Stripe.
This project is a strong portfolio example because it shows both design and business thinking. The work was not limited to visual refresh. It also addressed structure, usability, social proof, and operational functionality. That makes the case study relevant for other service brands that need a website to perform as both a portfolio and a conversion tool.
For Davydov Consulting, the project demonstrates an ability to execute high-aesthetic Wix builds while also improving the commercial layer behind the experience. It is a useful example of how a focused redesign can upgrade perception and support real business outcomes at the same time.
