We designed and developed a secure digital documentation platform for FIA, replacing a legacy documentation experience with a modern, scalable, and searchable online library for legal, regulatory, and clearing-related documentation. The platform brings together Global Documentation, European Documentation, US Documentation, and CCP Risk Review resources into one structured interface, helping users navigate complex legal and compliance materials more efficiently.
The website includes dedicated documentation areas for standard give-up agreements, European legal opinions and terms of business, US agreements and disclosures, and CCP Risk Review materials. FIA’s European Documentation Library provides legal opinions, client terms of business, regulatory documentation, and subscription-only services, while the US Documentation Library contains guidance documents, template agreements, disclosures, legal opinions, and regulatory resources.
A major part of the project was the creation of a secure, Azure-hosted architecture capable of supporting sensitive documents, metadata, permissions, search, subscriptions, notifications, and AI-powered functionality. The solution was designed with a WordPress front-end layer and a custom backend/API structure, keeping sensitive document logic and access management outside the standard website database.
The platform also includes an AI Chat feature designed to help users ask questions about FIA legal documentation, with responses limited to FIA sources and supported by citations. The chatbot is presented as an informational tool for navigating regulatory documents, compliance requirements, and FIA resources, with clear disclaimers around accuracy, scope, and professional reliance.
The CCP Risk Review section supports users working with central counterparty documentation and risk analysis. It presents CCP coverage across multiple jurisdictions, with Base Module and Client Clearing Module content, and supports use cases such as CCP due diligence, risk exposure analysis, QCCP assessment, benchmarking, crisis planning, and tracking the impact of CCP rule changes.
The result is a modern legal documentation portal that combines secure document management, advanced search, structured taxonomy, user access control, AI-assisted document discovery, and a clear user interface for a global financial industry audience.
