B2B platform for music synchronization licensing

The client needed a dynamic and user-friendly website that would allow visitors to browse, preview, and request licenses for a large catalog of classical and production music. The aim was to deliver a seamless experience that allowed music supervisors, editors, and producers to find suitable tracks by mood, genre, or composer.
Davydov Consulting executed the project using Wix Editor X to ensure responsive design, high performance, and advanced functionality, while maintaining Wix’s ease-of-use for the client post-launch.


Solution Design & Architecture

Dynamic Catalog Integration
Tracks were stored in a Wix Database, with metadata (genre, mood, composer) linked via hashtag-style filters. Users could apply multiple filters to narrow down their search quickly. Data from Excel was imported and linked with track IDs, although audio uploads had to be done manually due to Wix limitations.

Track Playback & Metadata
Each track was embedded with:
A Wix audio player
Unique Track ID display
A “Copy ID” button (copy to clipboard)
A “Request License” button auto-filled with that Track ID in the contact form
A “Download” button that checks user role — only available to "Music Editor" roles (verified manually by admin)

Favorites & Playlist System
Users could click “Add to Favorites” or “Add to Playlist”
These were stored as session data or simple database entries for later access on a separate “Favorites” page
Admin chose not to implement complex playlist visualization for MVP phase

Responsive & Fast
Implemented on Wix Editor X, which provides the flexibility for advanced CSS-level controls and full responsiveness
Ensured consistent user experience across desktop and mobile

Technical Execution
The site was built entirely within Wix Editor X, utilizing:
Wix Data Collections for the track database
Wix Velo (Corvid) for custom logic, clipboard interaction, and permission gating
Wix Media Manager for secure audio storage
Conditional elements and user role validation
Responsive layout building blocks
Although Wix does not support full Excel-to-platform automation (particularly for media files), a repeatable structure was created so the client could manage content efficiently with basic training.
