IMPLEMENTING CULTURE CHANGE
For us culture determines the attitude and behaviour all personnel in the organisation should demonstrate. An organisation’s culture is in some ways like the personality of an individual. It is a basic and primary force that determines reactions to change.
Culture is a collective pattern of behaviours, values and “unwritten rules” that has developed over time and provides a powerful framework to employees about how they should operate daily.
But that’s not enough in today’s turbulent environment. Unwritten rules, on their own, don’t work anymore. Every organisation that wants to be truly competitive needs a corporate culture.
The more explicit the culture and the closer it tallies with organisational strategies and determines employees’ behaviour in all work activities, the more effectively the company can - or will be able to - compete.
